Gonzalo Garza Independence High School

Project types: Gallery, Public High School

Garza Independence High School was the first application of the Performing Justice Project as a theatre-based devising and performance curriculum.  Garza was the site chosen to develop  a women’s human rights course as an option for High School United States History. Following the accreditation of this course, PJP was created to deepen and enrich the understandings of the curriculum.  This project was co-directed by Megan Alrutz and Lynn Hoare with producing support from Kristen Hogan.
