How PJP works

Performing Justice Project draws on a variety of theatre and performance forms to engage the experience and wisdom of young people in envisioning the world in which they want to live.

Multi-disciplinary artist-facilitators work with young people over 12-18 sessions, focusing on embodied approaches to playbuilding, storytelling and creative writing.  The result is an original performance piece that critiques, imagines and enacts gender and racial (in)justice.

PJP works in ongoing partnership with juvenile justice centers, foster care sites and schools to engage youth and communities in dialogue about the intersections of identity and power.
